Greek Custom Database - Problems with Displaying Greek characters

I have done my own Greek to English translation and have no problems when displaying. I'm trying to create a Greek custom database using Greek fonts but they are not coming through correctly after compiling.

Input (import) from my text file looks like this:

Mat 1:1 Βίβλος γενέσεως Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, υἱοῦ Δαυὶδ, υἱοῦ Ἀβραάμ:

Output within BW looks like this:

CNTR Matthew 1:1 Î'ίβλος γενÎ*σεως ˚Ἰησοῦ ˚ΧÏ�ιστοῦ, υἱοῦ Î"αυá½Î´, υἱοῦ ἈβÏ�αάμ:

Not sure what is going on. I have tried different Greek font within my text files and it makes no difference. Thanks for any help.

BW10 Help, section 67 "Compiling Version Databases" says is subsection "Step 1: Creating a text file containing your new Bible version": "text intended for use with the Version Database Compiler must be in ASCII text for non-Greek/Hebrew versions and in CCAT format for Greek and Hebrew versions."

Mat 1:1 of BGT, exported in CCAT format, looks like this:
Mat 1:1 Bi/blos gene/sews )Ihsou^ Xristou^ ui(ou^ Daui\d ui(ou^ )Abraa/m.

I don't know what tools are available to convert other fonts to CCAT.

It looks like you were working with a Unicode text. A long time ago, I wrote a Word macro to convert Unicode Greek into a format that could be used by BibleWorks. It has limitations, but see the discussion and links in the following threads.
