Please Wait - House Cleaning

I have been getting a "Please Wait - House Cleaning" message when trying to exit from BibleWorks lately. Locking up most applications from working while house cleaning is going on. Any ideas on why this started happening and how to solve the problem?

No one else is experiencing this problem? It just started happening recently and I have a very fast 16 core processor, 32 GB ram and SSD. It's taking almost one minute to complete, even after just opening it and then closing.

I've been using BW10 almost daily and have not had the issue you describe. I use it on two macs, one with Parallels and the other with Crossover. Neither currently has this issue. If you are using a windows system, perhaps a recent windows update has caused the issue?

I found one other post on this but doesn't seem to solve the problem.

I have had it happen sporadically over the years and never gave it much thought. I just wait for the window to go away. Have only had it happen recently (last 6 mo) only once. But it's never been reoccurring for me.

Moderator (if there is still one), this thread can be deleted. I fixed my own problem. Program (PIA - private internet access) blocking application from accessing network. For some reason, it started causing problems with BW.
