Cannot open new installation of bibleworks 10 (two tries at installing)

Is it possible for the flash drive for Bibleworks 10 to get corrupted? Bibleworks 10 was installed and working yesterday. I had several Bibleworks windows open, and maybe that caused a problem. The program later would not open. I tried to repair it to no avail. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it, turning off the virus detection. It would not open. I have gone through the process again, and it still will not open. The Bibleworks icon displays but then disappears, and that is it. I tried several of the options to get the program to work. One was to edit the BW1000.INI file, and the computer told me that it could not find that file. I know this is an important file, so what should I do, please, to restore it or enable the computer to find it? I am working with Windows 10.

Hello Harold. I am mediocre in both IT in general and Bibleworks specifically, so hopefully others will chime in as needed. As I understand it, flash drives can fail -- but if that were the case, you wouldn't have been able to reinstall from it, I think.

Your activation code(s) should work for both a flash drive installation or installing from a downloaded ISO file. If you have the bandwidth, I would suggest trying the ISO file. However, I'm not sure how you access that now. I thnk you need to send Mike Bushell a private message to get a link for downloading it (I believe that is the current process due to extensive pirating activity).

I don't think the original flash drives will work. I think you have to install it from the downloaded file. Installing from that file will allow you to use your codes. At least it did for me. The ISO download is still on the main web site, but it is very large.

Just go to bibleworks.com and scroll down to Downloads section. I had to use a download manager to download (don't remember which one). One that has been recommended here is https://www.freedownloadmanager.org/

You can also go to the Knowledge Base and search for "download manager" to see other suggestions.

Found this thread and happy to see this forum is still active! I'm trying to download the ISO here: https://bibleworks.com/dd/bw10_iso.php.

I have my activation key, it checks out; the page says:
Your code was verified. Please follow the instructions in the next section.

In the place that generates the URL, it says:

If you are using a download manager, the link for your download is

Couldn't get download link.

Copy this link to your download manager.

Similarly, the link at the end is no good.

I don't suppose anyone on this board has a copy of the ISO and can privately share the link?

Dear Mr. Holmyard, I am having a similar difficulty. I realize your thread is from a few months ago. Have you been able to resolve your problem? I have started a new thread yesterday, April 4, 2022. I do not know if you are able to respond any further. Thank-you.
