Default Any Way to Upgrade to 10?

I have a copy of BW9, which I was planning on using forever. However, I now have a computer without a DVD drive, and I'm not technically savvy enough to figure out how to install BW9 from a flash drive or from an external DVD drive. Is there any way to purchase BW10 as an upgrade, even though BW has shut down?

The simplest way for you to do it would be to buy this DVD drive from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought one myself in May of last year and it has worked well for me.

The current Amazon prime price is $22.99 with a $4 off coupon right below the price listing. That is cheaper than any copy of BW you might find since BW is no longer in business and copies are getting harder to find.

It is best to reboot the computer and then turn off any other programs that may run automatically. Install the drive by plugging the cord into a USB slot on the computer. Insert the first disc into the DVD drive.

It is exactly the same procedure to install BW9 from an internal DVD drive or an external one.

The BW installation program may start automatically. If not, find the windows icon in the corner of your screen. Right click on it.

(I can't find my external DVD drive right now or I would be more precise.)
A menu will appear. Click on File Explorer. A new window will open. In the left hand column, scroll down until you see This PC. Click on that phrase.
Probably you will only see a C: and a D:
If you do the procedure above before you add the DVD and note what is on the screen, you can see what has been added when the DVD is in the drive. The added drive under This PC is the one you need to click on. Usually you will click on D:
There will be three files named setup near the bottom of the list. You need the file that says application. If you can see the size, it will be the biggest file. Otherwise just click or double click on the first in the list and the installation should begin. You may get an error message, or you may see Notepad appear with a message in it if that was the wrong file. It won't hurt anything. Just close it and try the next one. One will work.

Make sure that you have your activation codes before you begin.

If you have any problems, post back here. If I am still alive, (I hope to be and know of no reason why I shouldn't be.) I will help you though the procedure on the forum. I can talk you through it over the phone or actually log on to your computer remotely and then you can watch as I do the installation or you can do it as I watch and you click and type as I help you.
I am committed to you having BW9 run on your new computer.

Your computer may be set up differently so some of the above details won't work, but just let me know and I will adjust the details to fit your computer.
If you have more questions before you buy a DVD drive, let me know that too.

Wow! That is very, very helpful.

So, here is what I'm going to do.

    1. In a week I will have the spare change to order the drive you linked to.
    2. Once that arrives I will follow the wonderful step by step instructions you provided.
    3. I will post back here and tell you how it goes.

My rough guess is that it should be a week and a half or two weeks before I can get back to you.

Nonetheless, I really, really appreciate your response. You've given me hope that my decades' worth of notes (on Bible passages) that are readable only by Bibleworks will soon be back in my possession.

    Grace and Peace!

You do have the activation codes? Correct.
Even if disaster comes, there are programs that can read BWW notes. You would lose the ability to activate links to BW, but the notes could be read.
