Exclamation Desperate for Vista UAC Fix/patch Zip file for BW7 - can't download online

I just had to reinstall Windows 10 on my PC, and even though back in July I was able to download and install the UAC patch needed for BW7 to update/function on Windows 10 (anything from Vista onward, really), the links for it in the knowledge base don't work anymore. Does anyone have that Zip file, or can you tell me how to access that UAC patch/fix? I'm absolutely desperate -- I use BW7 heavily every day!!!

Default I think I can help.

I tried to attach a copy of it to this post, but it was rejected.
I sent you a private message on this forum so you can email me so that I can send it to you.

Default Desperate for Vista-Patch for BW 6.0

I've been a BW-User since years. After purchasing a new computer running on Win10 I wanted do download the patch to run my BW6.0 on it. But the downloadlink is not working anymore. Can anyone provide me with the Zip-file? I'm desperate - BW is such a huge help in my daily work as a pastor...

I am very glad it worked for you. The patch file name says BW7, but I think I saw somewhere that it also works for earlier versions, and it is good to get confirmation that it does.

Hi Jim - I'm in a similar situation, and would love a copy of the patch as well if it's not too much trouble. Mark

The file is available using the link below. I plan on leaving it there indefinitely.
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/1NdK...ew?usp=sharing

The file is stored on Google Drive. You do not need a Google Account to download it.
The name of the file is item.zip. You may also see item.tcl.
Before I store files on Google Drive I encrypt them.
The password for this file is below.
    ckl\)klV,'!s<Yr*ito$

The MD5 hash for the extracted file item.tcl is below.

Download the file. Extract it. A popup will ask for the password. Copy it from this post and it paste into the popup.
Change the name of the file from item.tcl to BW7VistaPatch.exe.
The file has worked for BW6 as well.

Follow the instructions in the file that you can view on the page below to properly install the patch.

Most of the above is thanks to Jim Wert who saved the file in the first place and sent me the link to the installation method.

If you have questions, post them on the forum or send me a private message.
