    Default BGT Error?

In I Peter 3:16 BGT has future tense of the word for "twist." My 4th Edition UBS Greek text has the present tense, and shows no variant readings. Typo?

Speaking of typo, I assume you mean 2 Peter 3:16, not 1 Peter 3:16.
BGT in BW10 is based on NA28/UBS5. That verse was changed from NA27/UBS4 to NA28/UBS5. MY (BW10) copy of the UBS5 apparatus mentions no variants; the NA28 apparatus gives the following:

Var. unit #2: (replaced word, 2nd instance)
ὡς καὶ ἐν πάσαις ταῖς ἐπιστολαῖς λαλῶν ἐν αὐταῖς περὶ τούτων ἐν ⸀αἷς ἐστιν δυσνόητά τινα ἃ οἱ ἀμαθεῖς καὶ ἀστήρικτοι ⸁στρεβλώσουσιν ὡς καὶ τὰς λοιπὰς γραφὰς πρὸς τὴν ἰδίαν ⸀1αὐτῶν ἀπώλειαν.
    (var) στρεβλουσιν ℵ A B C2 Ψ 5. 33. 81. 307. 436. 1448. 1611c. 1735. 2492 Byz co
    (var) txt P72 C*vid P 442. 642. 1175. 1243. 1611*. 1739. 1852

Note, NA28 and UBS5 apparati are not in the base BW10, only in the extra cost Stuttgart Original Languages Module - New Testament Edition. But the CNTTS apparatus is in the base BW10, and is very useful.

It reminds me of that black mirror episode that took this a bit further into a dystopian future.
