    Default Pirated Copies of BibleWorks

There is currently a seller on eBay selling what may well be pirated copies of BibleWorks. I have contacted the seller and eBay with no response. We have had an ongoing problem with this. It is in fact one reason we chose to close up shop. I would encourage you not to buy copies from sources selling multiple copies of BibleWorks, without boxes. You can always try to contact a seller and ask questions about the history of the product. DO NOT use any BibleWorks 10 USB delivered to you. If they supplied an activation code, use it with the ISO downloaded from our site. Better yet, send the code to me so I can check it out. Often times a seller will sell copies all with the same activation code. Eventually this will exceed the number of allowable installs on new computers and fail to activate. Beware. Remember the 7th commandment.
This has been a severe problem with eBay in Brazil but also in the US. I will continue to investigate.

    Default Pirateada

Mike, I have bought every version of Bibleworks since it started. I had missed your cutoff date for BW10. I have searched for a seller with a legal registered copy. I found a seller on Ebay who advertised having a "used" copy of Bibleworks 10. They also advertised that they only had "one" copy. On the off-chance it might be legitimate, I purchased the product. I asked if they had the codes for the program. It was not cheap. After I bought the program, they sent the alleged registered license codes for the program. When I saw it, I was immediately concerned, because it did not look like any of the other license codes I had seen before. This is the "licensed" registered code they sent for the main program: BW10-UT9E-LQTJ-QQQQ-QQQQ. These ending codes just do not seem legitimate to me. All the module codes contained the same QQQQ-QQQQ endings as well. It then says that a manual activation code is required. That code is CWCG-CWCG-CWCG-CWCG. I need to know, if you can help me, whether this is legit or not. If it is not I will immediately dispute the charge on my credit card. Thank you for any help you can give me. I am sorry to bother you with this.

Yes, those codes are illegitimate. Those are the same kind of codes I was given when I bought a "copy" of bibleworks online. Came on a bibleworks USB and everything. I asked Mike and he told me that those are pirate codes. I would dispute those charges immediately if you can. All the best to you, brother.

I am newly rejoining the BW community -as I just posted on another thread, when I learned BW had shut down it didn't occur to me that the Forums would still be going on! So glad to see it!

Well, I'm all but positive -no, I'm positive- that I have fallen askance prey to one of the eBay pirate sellers mentioned on the other thread. I am going to immediately contest it (thumb drive with printed instructions and definitely fishy / pirate codes just arrived today -I was unable to install, which led me on the path that brought me back into this fold!).

Anyway, I am looking to purchase a legitimate copy of V10 from someone.

    Blessings,

    Mark
