Default BibleWorks 10 Installation Files "Currently Unavailable"

Why is it not possible to download the BW10 installation files?

The file is temporarily unavailable while I decide what to do about hacked versions of BibleWorks. These hackers are stealing money from our users and the people who licensed data to us. Typically they direct buyers to download the BW ISO file from the BW site and then provide the buyer with a hacked version of the executable. This will at least force them to pay for the download bandwith.

If you will send me your activation code, purchase date and purchase source, by private message, I will provide you with a temporary link to the file.

OK. Since I posted, I managed to locate my USB drive and activation code, so I may not need to download it. Unless it's better or faster to work from the downloaded .exe than the one on the USB drive?

The ISO file is more up to date. You can install from the USB drive but most of the updates posted after the USB was made are no longer available as updates. The only way to get all the updates is to use the ISO file.

Thanks. I just emailed you my code to your old BW email, assuming that still works.

Well, that's not the best service, but ah well. I hope I can get a link.

Tbh I don't get why you're so concerned with copyright, the only ones who potentially lose financially from it is your former competitors (assuming you're not going to continue development of BW).

The issue with copyright (assuming we're talking about the same thing) is that BibleWorks included licensed copies of a large number of copyrighted materials: original-language text editions, translations, and other resources. These cannot simply be handed on without proper payment of licensing fees, and BW as a company no longer exists to receive the payments and pass them on to the copyright holders. That's my understanding, anyway.

Default New computer: Need to move BW onto it

Purchased a new computer and naturally want to migrate BW to it. I don't have original install file. It is version 10.0.8.667. I have the serial number which I believe was the activation code. Is there a chance I could get a private link to download? I can keep using my old computer, but eventually it will retire!

I just went to the BibleWorks home page. The public link to the download appears to be working now. It offered to save the file to my computer but I did not begin the download. You could try and see if it works for you.
