I believe the code was written by CodeWeavers. You can see here that they still do not have a solution for the recent Mac OS https://www.codeweavers.com/about/bl...or-catalinayet

You may want to contact them and see what they say about the cost to finish the 64 bit beta.

I think having the 64 bit beta installer when BW closed made many believe that the next version of Mac OS would still run BW. Even though no promises were made, this is hardly an "every effort" to keep BW running on Macs. BW should contact the developers and advise back to us, but not sure that is going to happen.

    Default Do not recognizable image.

Trying to open the change file for 64 bit version. The screen message appears: "Do not recognizable image." Of course, it's about macOS.
What should I do to bypass this problem?

6/11/2018 Edited to add the following:

I should have given more details on this. I'll add more as it comes to mind, but for now here are a few tips:

    1. This dmg is large compared to the smaller x86 (32-bit) dmg installers. This is because we made the x64 installer to avoid needing the Installshield step. When you open the dmg and copy BibleWorks into your Applications folder, it sets up an installed copy of BibleWorks.
    2. You will need valid activation codes for BibleWorks 10 (and your modules). When you run this x64 version of BibleWorks the first time, it will request that you type/paste in the codes.
    3. The x64 installation is already fully patched. You don't need to apply any of the updates (except for the current EXE update). You can ignore the other database updates. We'll be cleaning that up over the next few weeks.
    4. There are only a few, minor areas where the x64 is not identical to the x86 version.
    5. If you need to change the x64 installation (e.g. add manuscript images), insert your BW10 USB media (or mount your BW10 ISO file), and then select from the main menu BibleWorks | Add or remove BibleWorks content. This will start the Installshield interface and let you add/remove components to your current installation.
    6. If you have an older version of the BW10 USB drives or downloaded ISO (e.g. rev1, rev. 2, rev. 3), some of the free databases we released after the initial release are only available in a newer rev (or via the x86 program updates). The final rev released in July will contain all of these databases. Until then, you can copy them from an x86 (normal 32-bit) installation (from the BibleWorks 10/databases folder).
    7. Things to avoid in the x64 beta:

    • Don't change the default font sizes in Tools | Options | Fonts
    • The View | Zoom options do work.

Cool BibleWorks on macOS Catalina: GREAT NEWS

I have GREAT news on installing BibleWorks 10 on macOS 10.15 Catalina. CrossOver guys released CrossOver 19 that is finally compatible with Catalina.

You have to buy CrossOver 19 (today only is 19$, then 35$) and reinstall BibleWorks but it works. I'm using right now in my MacBook Pro with macOS 10.15.2.

I am almost sure that the BibleWorks guys will release soon the new 64 bit Mac Installer (is a OEM CrossOver copy that works only for BibleWorks) but if you can't wait like me and you can afford the cost of CrossOver 19 you can use BibleWorks on Catalina today.

    Default Will not work

I recently updated to Catalina. I cannot get the BW10 Mac Installer Beta to work at all. Is there some trick to this?

The Mac OS has changed so much since BW closed that none of the BW Mac installers work anymore.

Crossover seems to be the best solution. Read this thread: https://www.bibleworks.com/forums/sh...-the-impatient

    Default No go

I cannot install the BETA on Catalina. It says that it is untrusted and gives me the option to send it to the trash. How can I install? I use the program all the time.

You can only install BW from the ISO. Crossover seems to be adequate.
