Default 4/25: Beta build for Retina displays available

We have an beta experimental dmg for Retina users who would like to test the new features that allow high-resolution text on Retina. This is ready to release, pending one last round of testing. This is in ongoing development. All in-program windows, including CHM windows, should now have properly scaled text and buttons.

If you want to try it out, here's what you need to do:

    1. Close BibleWorks.
    2. Download the beta dmg (MCW 10-25) at http://edist.bibleworksllc.com/macse...-10-25-signed.dmg
    3. Run the beta dmg.
    4. In the dmg installer, drag the BW icon into the Application folder icon. Select Replace when prompted about overwriting the existing application. The Mac Installer will copy over.
    5. Run BibleWorks.
    6. In the main menu, UNCHECK BibleWorks | Auto-Enable High Resolution Mode.
    7. Go to Help | Check for Updates.
    8. Go to Options | Enter access code.
    9. Type in MACTEST and click OK.
    10. Select the newest EXE patch in the updater and apply it. BibleWorks will apply the patch and restart.
    11. IMPORTANT: Close BibleWorks and restart it again.
    12. IMPORTANT: In the main menu, check BibleWorks | Auto-Enable High Resolution Mode.
    13. Close BibleWorks and restart it again. The Retina mode should work at this point.
    14. Now you can run BibleWorks with Retina features. In BibleWorks, go to View | Scaling.
    15. Select a scaling such as 225%.
    16. Click OK. BibleWorks will restart.

If you even need to go back to the non-Retina build, just re-run the bibleworks-10-19.dmg (or, go to the main menu and uncheck BibleWorks | Auto-Enable High Resolution Mode). No reinstallation of the full program is needed.

I hope that makes sense. Please let us know how it works for you.

Update 02/17/2016: Larger buttons for the main button bar now added!
Update 03/14/2016: Retina build merged to have all current fixes
Update 04/25/2016: Retina mode now properly scales all text, windows, buttons, and popup CHM windows.

Non-functinal for me. Installs and loads fine, but then nothing changes with mouse-over, can't click any buttons, can't type anything in the command box or notes. Restarted twice, same effect.

Yikes! What version of OS X are you running? And what BibleWorks EXE version is running?

Over here it works with the current BW10 EXE on OS X 10.9 (non-Retina), OS X 10.11 (non-Retina), and OS X 10.11 (Retina)...

After a reboot and install of latest exe (thought I had it already), works fine.

I'm kinda reluctant to try the retina beta/experimental build, but looking forward to its general release!

    Default Latest BW10 Updates

I am using the retina experimental build. The latest BW10 updates have returned my window tabs to non-retina tiny. Any chances on that getting restored to retina size soon? It also made the update window non-retina.
