BW8 was my first. I finally bought it in May 2010 after seriously looking at it since about 2002 (insert comments about double-minded men being unstable, or about him that knoweth to do good and doeth it not, here). Here's the thread chronicling my start with BibleWorks: https://www.bibleworks.com/forums/sho...ance-Interface

I really don't remember where I first heard about BibleWorks, but I recall talking with a preacher friend of mine about it back in 2002-03. I think I had seen it in CBD catalogs well before that.

I switched from Gramcord to Bibleworks in 2004, when I was given an unused copy of Bibleworks 4. I upgraded immediately to version 6, and have remained current ever since. More details here:

Pretty sure I picked up BW around 2000. I'm thinking that might have been BW 5, but it's been too long to remember.

3.5 since...what, 1992? don't remember exactly. I just moved and found my 3.5 CD! I wonder what that would look now? I know it rocked back then, as has every upgrade since! I don't think I've missed an upgrade, and been super pleased with each one!

I'm not sure how I found out. Maybe in a Christian Computing magazine?
