Downloading Installer

I wanted to download the installer in preparation for when the discs I ordered arrive but can't find the download site. Probably right in front of my nose but I must be blind. Can someone point me in the right direction?

The installer has been pulled from the website, so it's not there to find.

If you obtain the BW9 Mac Public Preview through our webstore by 10/15/2012, there will be no fee for it. After that date users will have to pay a nominal fee of $6 to obtain the BW9 Mac Public Preview. This is due to license restrictions that we did not understand before the initial announcement was made. We will absorb the nominal fee for users who obtain the Mac Public Preview by 10/15/2012. This does not affect Mac users running BibleWorks outside of the Mac Public Preview.

The way I read their announcement was that it would be available at the web store now but would need to pay the fee after the 15th. I didn't see it on the web store so was lost.

Yeah, based on their announcement, it will be in the webstore early next week. So you'll still have some time before the 15th.

That's exactly right. It should be in the webstore early next week. If you keep an eye on the Mac page we'll update it as soon as everything is in place. We're very sorry for the hassle and confusion. Truly, we live under the curse.

In 2006 Robin Song had a massive file of bible versions to put on BW.

How do I put that on MAC BW when I buy it, or do I copy from Parallels

or the file is against copyright so be honest and stop using it?

I big thanks to BW so only asking for $6 for the upgrade from BW9 to BW 9Mac fee.

I mean $6 is not a massive price

I can't comment on the ethics involved, but you should be able to install user-versions just like you could on Windows. You simply need to navigate to the proper place (depending on the file, either the "userdb" or "databases" folder) and place the files there, compiling if necessary.

So I download the mac preview and then install the bw9 cds and then see about Robin's files.

This week I Will download the mac thing for $6 and install it with my bw9 cds.
I have gone through the forum and checked the forum posts from the big v7 installer and decided not to use those files. But I want to ask is there a good legal download for Wickliffe, the only one on that big installer i actually want.

Where are legal downloads for bw9?
Now when my computer guy comes tomorrow, do I say, ah I no longer needs parallels, don't fix just remove, as BW( is the only reason for parallels and owning bw9 means I only pay $6 to but on mac? or keep parallels anyway) or isn't that a question for this forum?

Hello Andrew,

I personnally would hold off on uninstalling Parallels. The new version has made notable improvements over the setup BW9 + Crossover as a separate install (I've had that on my mac book pro since the spring), but I think you'd still miss some of the features you may be used to working with through Parallels. I've been using both concurrently as of late, and more and more the new version. But there are still some kinks that would need to be worked out before I make a total change.

If I'm running my mac on battery power, the new version is the only one that's open, as Windows really sucks up battery life. My take on the situation, though, is that it doesn't totally replace using Parallels. Not yet, anyway! You should probably install both and see what you can and can't do with the IOS one only, then make a decision based on that.
