Does anyone know if there is a BibleWorks database of an English translation of the Syriac? I know about the NT ones. I am talking specific to OT now. Thanks.

Thanks, Andley. After a lit bit of searching last night, I found Lamsa too (the website to which you refer). I must say that the font on that website does not make for the easiest reading.
Well, IMHO the font that BW uses for the NT Peshitta is quite hard to read itself.
The fact that BW doesn't have the OT Peshitta in Syriac means that getting it in English would be unlikely. But that raises the question: any chance of getting the OT Peshitta?

Can you read and interpret Syriac, David?
Since we're on the subject of OT witnesses, does anyone know if there exists a database of the Samaritan Pentateuch and an English translation thereof?
My Aramaic is not bad actually. So is Syriac basically Aramaic transliterated in Syriac characters? (Not that that would help me at this point, since I don't read Syriac.)
By the way, you're not the same David R who authored the Epistles of John in the Westminster Bible Companion Series, are you?
Check this thread for the full list of text available. You will find the Samaritan Pentateuch listed there, recently made available on the Old in the New blog. Both Hebrew and English
