Default find all Hebrew words that are translated as "save" in NAU

need help here .... is there a way to fond all the Hebrew words that are translated into "save" in NAU ?

    for example,
NAU Deu 20:4 for the LORD <03068> your God <0430> ais the one who goes <01980> with you, to fight <03898a> for you against <05973> your enemies <0340>, to save <03467> you.'

NAU Psa 80:2 Before <06440> aEphraim <0669> and Benjamin <01144> and Manasseh <04519>, bstir <05782> up Your power <01369> And come <01980> to save <03444> us!

Is it possible to do a command line search and then import all the strong numbers(and even better Hebrew words) into a word-list ?

    any advice?

    Thanks,
    -Andley.

There are many words in English which the translators translate the same way, even though the underlying Hebrew or Greek, are different. Here's the best method I've found, to track them: search on the ENGLISH word. For best results,

    1. Construct a Favorites which includes ALL the English translations you have. Make sure that it also includes the BGT, BHT, and Leningrad text, up at the top (I use BHT, Leningrad, then BGT as my order in the multi-version window).
    2. Make your Search version an English translation like NAU or KJV, which tends to translate a) the same words in Hebrew/Greek with same words in English, or b) translate SIMILAR words in Hebrew/Greek with the same words in English (especially, the word 'save' or 'salvation').
    3. Then make sure your Cross Search is set to ALL SAME LANGUAGE DISPLAY (not Prune).
    4. Then do your search (i.e., on 'save'). In English, the noun and the verb search separately, so you'll have to run two tabs, one per word.
    5. Then, hit your browse toggle to the multi-version (the two feet), so you can see the Hebrew and Greek. Mouse over to the Hebrew or Greek word that you saw when you moused on the English word you searched.
    6. Then note the semantic range of the Hebrew and Greek, so you can tell whether the translation is too narrow or too broad.
    7. Finally, send to the clipboard or editor, the verses which actually matched your search goals.

    Hope this answer helps you!

thanks for the suggestion --- i think it would work, but i'm looking for somewhat 'automatic' approach ....

or perhaps i can rephrase my question:

is there a way to :
1>do a word search (eg. "save") in NAU
2>and then extract all the corresponding strong numbers for that word ?

    Thanks again,
    -Andley.

Okay, well I can't help you with that, since I don't use Strong's. Hope you get the answer you seek.

How did you generate this list, Brian? Was it done in BibleWorks?
