Simple Hebrew texts in the Bible
Hello to all,
could somebody perhaps help me with a hint which Bible texts are in particual convenient for a beginner in reading and understanding Hebrew?
I know all letters and much of the Grammar, but now it is time for me to get into better reading comprehension, no longer only one sentence here and there. In the NT it helped me to start with coherent reading Mark and John because I regarded these to be much more simple than other NT books for me.
Which hebrew texts would you recommend for my first reading exercises to stay motivated?
Thank you for your suggestions,
Karlheinz

Judges and Ruth are both fairly simple narrative, highly repetitive.
This is also a good volume if you've worked through a grammar.

I always found the book of job (איוב) to be fairly easy to read and it's also a very interesting story, something that will probably keep you "on your toes" while reading it.
If you study by yourself at home, check these Hebrew Learning DVDs (especially the biblical Hebrew study book).
