Default BW 8 Vocabulary Flashcard Module

I have loaded the Greek NT verb drill into the flashcard module.

The second word on the list is lusatw and the module says the frequency is 2532. However, when I search on this word I don't find a single instance of it in the NT. I also can't find it in Mounce's Morphology. I'm probably missing something very basic, but I would appreciate help.

The third word on the list is luei. The module says frequency is 2,267 but I can only find three instances of it.

    Thanks,

    Steve

Those are two forms of the same verb/lemma (luw). lusatw would be the aor act imperative 3 sg; luei is the pres act ind 3 sg. So although the verb luw occurs frequently, specific forms may not. Still, I have no idea why it gives that high a frequency, even for the lemma.
καὶ ὑπὲρ πάντων ἀπέθανεν ἵνα οἱ ζῶντες μηκέτι ἑαυτοῖς ζῶσιν, ἀλλὰ τῷ ὑπὲρ αὐτῶν ἀποθανόντι καὶ ἐγερθέντι.

What you are learning in in the gntverbs.vrc file is not vocabulary, but word forms. This is different from the gntvoc.vrc, which teaches you vocabulary words.

So, in the gntverbs.vrc, the frequency number is the number of times the form viaa3s appears in the BNT. It is not the number of times that this form of LUW appears in the BNT.
