Hello, I'm running BBW 10 on Ubuntu 16.04. For the most part everything works ok, with the standard issues described elsewhere. The one thing I have not figured out however, is how to get it to load...
Yeah, wine does funny things. Mine does not display the toolbar on top and I have to use keyboard to "initialize them" but I deal with it, and just like having my BBW.
I have Ubuntu and do not have the problems mentioned here. I do know that depending on the notebook, the internet broken, is a known bug when installing a Linux distribution.
Well, you learn something new every day. Thank you for your reply, everything is working fine now.
I have a new tablet that runs Windows 10, it was cheap, and there is really not enough space to place Bibleworks directly onto the hdd. However, if I try to use a MicroSD (and a USB for that matter)...
Yes, in my opinion, the videos are a great tool to learn all the things that BibleWorks can do. There was also a webpage given for some tips in creating an Exegetical through BibleWorks that I found...
There was a recent thread that had a lot of helpful advise on a similar topic. I will link it in the bottom.

Ver. 3.5, still have the disc somewhere or other. 😁
It took a little while to figure it out on my end as well, but the e-mail you got when you first placed your order (not the later one with the activation codes) had the instructions on the very...
In terms of the Tablet Lite version of BW I feel I have discussed that before and still agree with the BW staff, single apps are nice for some things, but I could imagine trying to do more intensive...
And it feels like right after I wrote that last bit, I have now received my e-mail.
Thanks for this, I had the same question, but figured the answer was something like this.
I also own a Logos package and use their apps. I like them and find them usable for what I need. I use mine mainly for quick reading of both English and Greek (very rarely Hebrew.) I also have...
I don't expect to see this anytime soon. I do admit, however, that I like the idea, I like Bibleworks Flashcards, I use them often. If you are desperate and have Logos you can download their...
These thoughts are very helpful. I have never even dared to try (as I mentioned above) so I have never thoroughly looked into it, but it was a thought that I was pondering. That being said, I wasn't...
Mike, I also know I have seen Linux apps for rooted devices. Where you can have an install of Linux which you can boot. It is a full desktop and so could possibly be used to have Bibleworks on your...
aaaahhh I need to start coming here more often again. Look at me a week and a half late to the joke. I already miss Scrollie. Very nice, very funny.
I am still a little new at Ubuntu, but I really like what I am seeing so far. I noticed that they are coming out/came out with an OS for tablets and phones, my question is does this OS have wine or...
since I am still kind of a new with ubuntu all I can say is that I installed BW9 using wine 1.7.1 and thus far it is working well, it does not seem to have the font issues I was reading from earlier...
I just posted in the other thread about my beginings with ubuntu, I used wine 1.71 and had no real issues (once I got my act together, at first I mixed my rev. 1.0 and 4.0 discs and had several...
Installed ubuntu, updated wine to 1.71, installed BW9 and I see no noticable issues. I have only had it installed for about an hour, so only time will tell, but very positive so far.
I have a few old machines and I will be installing ubuntu on them, I have never messed with ubuntu (at least not seriously) how have you guys managed to get BBW operational? Are the bugs that are...
Yes the information, as in the how to videos, for certain features are all still there and I think there is even more. For that I am thankful. I do love the videos. However, there is just something...
The guides I was referring to were the ones that used to be on the start up screen. I was able to get them by re-installing BW7. I love these "how to" guides and wish they were in BW9, perhaps in...
