I've just noticed that on my BW while 'About Bibleworks' pop-up it is saying 13.dmg, in the bottom left hand corner it is saying 14.dmg.

In the Knowledge Base item 'How Do I Install, or Uninstall, the BibleWorks 9 Mac Installer?' the Download Mac Installer link has "updated 2013-07-11" against it.

If problem is result of trying to open from existing BW icon on dock - delete this icon - then open updated BW from Finder>Applications - then saved resultant BW icon in dock. (This worked for me!)
