I was asked by a fellow BW user to construct a search for the following and having trouble putting it together:
"Times in the OT where one imperative is followed by another imperative within...
You can also inside of BW8 click on "File" then "Checkpoints." I think BW automatically saves some checkpoints for you, but you can also create your own. Look in the Help File under "Checkpoints" and...
When I reverted back to the previous exe the naming options reappeared. Strange.
I just updated this morning to the latest .exe and I no longer am able to name the tabs. When I right click on a tab, here is what is in the context menu
Clear tab 1
Clear all tabs (except...
I think this gets it where I want it. I'll play around with it to be sure. Thanks for your help.
Matt
I think the addition of the browse tab in the Resource Window is a very handy addition in BW8. I would like to suggest a slight change in the way it functions. As it stands now, the version being...
I agree this feature would be nice. I would also like to see the ability to copy a verse list from the search results into an editor window as hyperlinked references. That would be SWEET!
That's a great tip Mark.
I know you won't regret it ... :D
I agree with Dave that it would be nice to have the option of keeping the tab names when clearing the contents of the tabs.
You are definitely right, Mike, that you warned us, and so I hope that I didn't communicate frustration. I raised the issue simply as a "hey, this is a great feature that I hope we can make better."...
Thanks for the responses. It is no big deal for me at this stage to rename the tabs, but long term it seems like it would be bad if every exe update erases the tab names. In my mind this limits the...
When I updated to the latest executable (09.c.2), I lost the tab names I had designated from the previous executable. Did that happen to anyone else? I trust this is an unintended consequence.
Changing this feature to allow searching across multiple versions DRAMATICALLY increases the usability of this feature. As someone who works in the use of the OT in the NT I am thrilled to be able to...
I just wanted to add my own gratitude for adding this outstanding features. Kudos to Mike and BW8 team!
In working with the new and improved "copy verse list" options, I would love to have the option for BW to not only copy the list of verses, but make that list of verses hyperlinks. A similar feature...
If Microsoft products that have programming teams 100 times (and budgets to match) larger than the folks at Bibleworks cannot issue products that are bug-free, doesn't it seem just a tad unrealistic...
Over on Justin Taylor's blog there is a post (see here) mentioning several texts available on Archive.org that are available as either PDF, TXT or even HTML files. Assuming these texts are in fact...
Does anyone know of a Greek transliteration version (similar to the transliterated Hebrew OT already in BW7)? I am working on a commentary and would love to be able to simply copy and paste from a...
Michael,
I know I have requested this before, but just wanted to mention it to get it on the radar. I would greatly appreciate the maps module having a "roads" overlay. This would be immensely...
I've noted the various fixes in Word listed here, but at some point it would be ideal to have an option in the copy center such as "remove paragraph markers" just like one can "remove verse numbers"...
