The following describes "End Notes" (notes that are displayed in the Analysis Tab). BW also has "Embedded Notes" which are displayed in the verse text, in the Browse Window.
Here is a one verse...
Try this:
1. Main menu / Tools / Options ... / General / Fonts
Make sure that the bottom option "Use these Unicode settings also for Verse text (override Output Format settings)" is not selected.

BW10 was distributed by download or by USB data stick/thumb drive, so you probably should be looking for that rather than a set of DVDs.

I am not aware of a keyboard command that will toggle BW Analysis tabs.
I would point out that you have to use your cursor to get BW to populate the Analysis tabs with word-specific data.
BW...
This is not an authoritative answer, but my understanding is:
1) The activation code for BW9 is specific to BW9. It will not work for BW10. The activation codes for BW include the version number...
There are at least 3 ways to toggle Strong's codes on and off:
1. If the main status bar at the bottom of the main BW window is enabled, and contains the word "Strong's" double click on that word....
This works for me, in Windows7, for stuff in Analysis tabs Vs1&Vs2, and floating resource windows. I tried it on 3 commentaries: Lange, Nicoll, and Metzger (text critical). The resized fonts are not...
It might be helpful if you would provide screen shots of your Version Order Window, Scaling Window, and BibleWorks Main Window.
1. What release of BW10 are you using? The current one is Version...
Dear Pete,
UTF-8 is unicode. I am not at all an expert on encoding, but I think that it should work if you select "Konvertiere zu ANSI". I think that for this situation "ANSI" = "ASCII". I don't...
Hello Klapehau,
It looks to me like you are compiling from a unicode file. BW requires an ASCII file. To get an example of the ASCII umlauts that BW recognizes you might export a few verses that...
BW does not support updates to installations from older installation datasets, so you should use the current download. At one time Mike Bushell (MBushell) said to PM him to get authorization to...
Sorry, but I'm not sure what problem you are describing.
If the problem is that KJV and NKJ always show the Strong's Codes, click somewhere in the browse window and type "r" to toggle the codes...
The fact that is sometimes affects Word makes it look like something has happened to your Windows settings. I can't help you with that -- Windows in general is a mystery, and I am still using...
I would expect all text to have shrunk, including text in the Browse Window, Search Window results, Analysis Window contents.
My first suggestion is:
Main Menu / View / Scaling Options ...
On...
You need to turn off the notes, called sometimes version notes, sometimes translator notes, in the Browse Window. The little superscript letters and numbers will then not display in the Browse...
I don't know what you mean by "session", so I will suggest 3 possible scenarios.
If you want two environments within one execution of BW, you can use two Search Window tabs, have your display and...
Hi Earl,
I think it is not possible to use BW to find cases where the gender of a pronoun does not agree with the gender of its antecedent.
You need a way to identify the antecedent of each...
Charlie, this appears to be from the "Copy" button just above the search results, 5th option "Popup Copy Window".
Moritzi, try using lower case for 1pe 2:9-12. When I tried to duplicate your...
BW10 Help, section 67 "Compiling Version Databases" says is subsection "Step 1: Creating a text file containing your new Bible version": "text intended for use with the Version Database Compiler...
Are you sure you used the one you downloaded after the closure of BW? Version 10.0.3.173 sounds like a much older version. When you bought BW10 did you download it, or have a USB drive mailed to...
When BW closed they provided a downloadable installation dataset that included all updates to that point, and they no longer kept updates from before that time. Some updates have been released since...
I think this has been discussed in some detail in the past on this forum, but I don't want to take the time to track it down. My recollection is that BW keys their notes to the NRS version, since BW...
As I understand it, versions of BW older than BW8 need special action to work on recent versions of Windows.
Check this entry in BW knowledgebase, it is quite old, but may be helpful. ...
I assume you are using Windows.
I don't understand why your "Load" button would be grayed -- I cannot replicate that.
The most likely problem is that you saved them to a directory different...
