Either BW fixed it, or the internet demons were interfering last time, because I just again tried to apply the patch and this time it worked.
Win 10 just installed a major revision on my computer. Afterwards, I had to allow Norton to take control of my computer to fix things on their end because the latest Win 10 update changed...
Yeah, I agree. That's why I offered the caveat. The so-called critical texts are an ever-moving target, including significant passages.
Here's just one list, but this is not a static target. The list is continuously changing among the so-called critical editions.

Since no else has responded, try this:
Close BW, then delete your bw1000.ini file in your BibleWorks folder. Restart BW. That will probably do the trick.
Should McClintock & Strongs show up in the Master Module Index? It doesn't as of now.
Just in case the programmers have a little free time on their hands. -:)
This problem was reported a while back. See here --

In this case it appears it was unique to David, but this has occurred -- and is going to continue to occur -- as INI files can become easily corrupted. I hope BW will move away from so many INI file...
Yeah. Try deleting your INI file, i.e. bw1000.ini in your BibleWorks folder. That is, close BW, delete the INI file, then restart BW. See if that does the trick.
I've been saying for years that they need to come with an Exorcism function for that INI file. :o
I can't duplicate your problem. It works fine for me. I'd suggest deleting your INI file (back it up first) and see if that solves the problem.
I have a friend who was born here in America but moved to Israel in his teens, fought in the IDF, and came back to the States in his thirties. Obviously, he speaks both English and Hebrew natively....
I felt that way too, but now that I have a touch screen Win 10 is a must. And, I have to say, I'm beginning to like it.
Figured it out finally. Win 10 will take some getting used to.
I just bought a new 2-in-1 computer and having to transfer everything over, I realized once again how slick BW is. The install was simple, fast, and went off without a hitch, even though I had a...
Hold down the Shift key and then launch BW. A dialog will appear offering you options. In the lower right of that dialog is a button to allow you to "Restore Previous Versions"
First thing to try is to erase your INI file and then restart BW.
Your INI file is BW1000.ini in your BibleWorks folder.
If that doesn't do the trick, did you do a clean install? Or did you...
I am going to be upgrading to a new computer very soon. I'm sure you and others know more about this than me, so any tips would be helpful. That is, when I install BW from the flash drive on the new...
That was a mistake. It's when you get older that you need to work out more and harder. The large LSJ is good for doing curls and other stuff while you're sitting at your desk or watching TV. :)
I'm glad you could repeat it. I also have major problems with parallel versions window and BW crashing, but I'll leave that aside for now.
I back up everything, including my SWC files, but I never...
I started with a whole new INI file. When I tried to load tabs I found that BW had erased my SWC files which was where my tabs were saved. I had an old SWC file on a backup disk, so I loaded that. I...
Yeah, that did the trick. I renamed my INI file and forced a new one, and now it works properly.. Now I gotta go back and set everything up the way I had it. I do wish BW would make a one-step backup...
Thanks for looking into it. It's not a big deal, as I just hover over a KJV word so that a pop up occurs and then the KJV is what gets entered into the VLM. I've had other minor glitches, which may...
No, I'm transferring my manuscript collations from Word/Excel and other formats into my BW notes. So, what I'm doing is going verse by verse. I do no searches.
Rather, I move to the next verse by...
Same version. Maybe it's just me. Are you hovering over a word in another version so that word tip pops up?
