Where is a Valid Mac Activation Code? or Hardware ID for my iMac OS X Yosemite?

When I try to manually activate my BW 9 software onto my iMac OS X Yosemite (upgraded w/ 8 GB), I get a message that my activation is an "Invalid Mac Activation Code." Therefore, how or where do I obtain a valid Mac code?
(Note: I already downloaded and ran the Mac Installer.)
Also, when I try to activate manually, a prompt comes up showing that the hardware ID is required in the following format: (e.g. HHHH-HHHH-HHHH-HHHH). Yet, where is this information found?
Does anyone have any information on either of these two questions? Thank you.
