Hi, First of all, I am a CPA, so I know business and understand your frustration. I also wrote several articles comparing the larger bible software companies from a business perspective several years ago. The site it was on is closed and I don't think I still have the article. My overview of BW was that they were singled focused, provide a value package focusing on the original languages. Back 5 or more year ago when I wrote this, my conclusion was they need to do this better than the competition and provide excellent customer support to stay in business. I need to continue in multiple posts since I can only have 1000 words. See additional posts.
jfidel - Do you have any special insight into the collapse of BW? I pressed BW to keep up or sell years ago and the responses back then were pathetic. From my perspective, as a former Christian book printer and publisher, who is currently in the enterprise software space, BW's myopic vision of what it means to be a software provider hindered their ability to be of value to the church over the long run. From my perspective, the lack of vision has allowed the platform to perish. Sad.
