Has any testing been done with Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Bibleworks? Anyone experience any issues?

There were some earlier posts about this (see Page 2). Nobody reported any problems, and the Update feature (which could have been affected) had no problems either. SP2 is safe as far as BW is concerned.

thanks, I didn't see the other thread. I was mainly concerned with the internet stuff because of the new firewall, ect. I guess I'll back everything up and go for it.

I have been using SP2 for about 2 weeks and have had no problems with BibleWorks. What little trouble I have had with other software, I was able to work around the problem

The main problem I had was that every time I opened My Pictures or My Music, I got a block, telling me there could be dangerous stuff there!

I found that by deselecting [from the Security menu in Internet Options/Advanced] "Allow active content to run in files on my computer" the problem went away.

I've been using SP2 for about a week, no problems with BW, had some flakey stuff with NotaBene at first but that seemed to resolve itself. (I really hate when that happens, makes me nervous) Other than start up seems to be slower everything has been pretty smooth

I just purchased BW6 and have been trying to install it on my computer - running WinXP. It's been a nightmare!!! I keep recieving a "Component Transfer Error" telling me that the Program Executable Files aren't transferring. Tech support has been very kind, but absolutely no help at all.

That is very odd. I have not heard of anyone have problems installing the program from the CD.

Not that this should be a problem, but do you have 5.0 installed on the same computer? Again, this should not cause a problem installing 6.0, but who knows, if you do it would be worth uninstalling first.

Oh, actually while I am writing this I remembered that sometimes if you have your virus program active when you are installing the program from CD it can cause problems. If you have not already disable your virus program while you install.
