View Full Version : Help with BW 8 color files (not importing from 7 to 8)

I was wondering if someone could help me with a color file. I was doing a study of the Greek words for fornication and adultery and if they could be used interchangeably, etc. I accidentally made search results for the search .porn* in the BYM (I just used the the English characters, but the search was done using a period followed by the Greek letters, followed by an asterisk on the command line). I wanted the hit highlights in the search window to be yellow letters with a red background, but I instead applied the colors to the search results and it over wrote my color file where I had manually changed all the Words of Christ in red in the KJV! How can I fix this? It applied the results to my KJV text also, so whenever I am using the KJV Fornication is yellow text with a red background. Is there a way to fix this without repeating the search and doing the color change manually in each verse? Thanks in advance for any help!!

I don't use coloring often. I also don't understand what you're wanting at the end.

-If you're using BW8, you must manually copy your *.clr files from BW7/Databases to BW8/Databases

-You could download a color file for 'words of Christ in red' (KJV) over at

-How could a BYM version search results be applied to a KJV word? My guess is you double clicked on 'fornication' in the KJV, then right clicked and applied color to the search results. ???

-How to remove a color? I think the only way is to disable the color file or delete from the Apply Color dialog. Maybe someone else can give better direction here.
