View Full Version : Searching Greek and Hebrew

Let me start with saying I can't read a single word in Greek or Hebrew.
That is in their own language font.
I do however know words like "hades" and "sheol"

What I want to do is this:
Load the KJV.
Search for hades

That gives me 0 hits because KJV has translated hades as hell.
But Strongs that is linked does 'know' this translated word.
LXE does use the word hades; so indeed I could use that for seaching.

Basicly I wan't BW7 to search all bibles. Then it internally has a list of verses. Then just display a list of the same verses in KJV. Even if the word occurs nowhere in the KJV.

Another possiblity that is even better is to search the Strong lexicon and from that generate a list of KJV verses.
The advantage of this is that I can also search for alternative meanings.

I hope I made myself a bit clear in my own clumpsy way

God Bless.

Open up the HELP>STUDY GUIDES > USING STRONGS NUMBERS IN BIBLEWORKS (under "Analyzing Biblical Text").

That should give you some good starters. It even has an instructional video.

Edit: Note, though, that there's a typo in there. To display Strong's numbers in the browse window, click so the focus is there and press R, not B.
