(I couldn't find any thread that dealt specifically with this, and some that were close were from 2006, so I decided to start a new thread.)

A question was raised about creating word lists or vocabulary lists for particular books of the Bible and have frequency information connected with it. I just posted on my blog THREE great ways to accomplish this in BW7 depending on how you want to use the results. There are three short videos showing you the steps you take.

Thanks for your work on these tips. I have used the Report Generator befoe, but having the option of using the Flash Card tool is great for self-quizzing.

Keep the tips flowing.

Now that we have created word frequency lists, the next step is to create a 'gradient' or 'graduated' reader, i.e., texts of the Greek New Testament that highlight words matching certain criteria. For example, I have my Greek students memorize all the words that occur 50 or more times in the NT. The goal, then, would be to create a text with all the words highlighted that occur 49 times or less.

On my blog, I just posted 3 short videos walking you through the steps needed to do so.

Mark, this information is extremely helpful. I am doing some vocabulary work "in context" and these tips make it very easy to visualize how common the vocabulary is in a segment of text. It makes selecting "easy to access" passages much easier.
