Hi all
SESB now comes in a small edition costing only 150 $. Now this is a steal providing you with the full apparatus.

But my question is if any of you have some experience using the SESB in conjunction with BW.

It should be pretty easy to call up a specific verse and then look up in the apparatus.

But is that all there is to it?
Can they be brought into closer cooperation? Are anyone getting more out of this combo than just some occasional 'look ups'?

Thanks
Morten

I had made some comments in this post on my blog (http://bibleandtech.blogspot.com/2007/09/logos-workspace-and-bw7.html) about Logos and BW7. I do most of my direct textual work in BW7, but I use a lot of the reference stuff in Logos. To answer your question more specifically, I basically am using an external link in BW7 to the SESB to check out the textual variants.

Here is a screen capture to show, however, that I have my SESB in one window, the apparatus itself in another, an English translation in another, and then my Passage Guide (and Exegetical Guide) in another, and all of them are linked so that moving to a new verse in one moves them all.
BTW, until you buy the SESB, remember that you can link to LaParola online which provides a tremendous amount of text critical info. Here is what the settings are:

The executable line should read (without any spaces):

May an ignorant Aussie [pronounced Ozzie] ask what SESB is, please?

SESB stands for Stuttgart Electronic Study Bible. Information on the product is available here:

I wrote a review a couple of years back for Hiphil downloadable here:

(What's the usefulness of infiltrating and posting such posts anyway? I just don't get it.)
