View Full Version : Strong's Number Question

05-25-2006, 09:17 AM
Currently there doesn't seem to be a way just to sift through the Strong's numbers 1 by 1 in Greek or Hebrew. I was doing this on the BlueletterBible.org site and they seemed to have blocked my IP for whatever reason (Perhaps I was using too much bandwidth)

I want to step through each one in numeric order with the Greek or Hebrew word shown. I see the numbers when you turn on Strongs notes, but is there a way just to see the strongs info based on a numeric unput.

Thanks for any help. (This is the other NumberMan™ but bibleworks seems to have misplaced my email to remind me of my password so I made a new one minus the Trademark :) )

Open a Bible with strongs ie KJV or NAU;
Turn on strongs numbers;
Right mouse on a strongs number to open thayers/bdb.

Once open you can enter a number or scroll through all the numbers.

There may be a faster way to get to thayers/bdb, but I am not aware of it.

Or click on Resources, Lexicons...

That will open Thayers, but not allow for the scrolling through the strongs numbers, unless I am missing something.

...unless I am missing something.

With KJV or NAU Strong's numbers turned on (R is the shortcut key), right-click and choose Lookup Thayer/BDB Definition.

The Thayer/BDB dialog allows you to scroll through the strong's numbered definitions.
