As of June 15, 2018 BibleWorks ceased operation as a provider of Bible software tools. The old BibleWorks web site, activation server and forum are gone. This new forum is intended to provide a way for the thousands of people still using BibleWorks to communicate with one another. Click on "General BibleWorks Discussion" above to view messages.Or you can jump directly to two topics of general interest to everyone:
To post to this forum you must register your account. After you register and accept the TERMS OF USE, you will be sent an e-mail. You must respond to this e-mail and be activated by an administrator before you can post. This is necessary to limit the use of this forum for spam.
We get a LOT of forum registrations that we cannot activate because we got no response to the confirmation e-mail that was sent. A few are returned as undeliverable and we assume that they are spammers. We have no way of knowing if the other confirmation e-mails were even received. If you registered and never received the confirmation e-mail, you can send a message to forum@biblework.com. But check your spam folder first. Of course you are free to browse messages without registering. You just can't post to the forum or respond to messages.
There is currently no way in BW to do a true dark mode. Do a google search on "negative screen" or go to https://github.com/mlaily/NegativeScreen. This is a little free utility that will allow what you are looking for. There is an older version that allows you to invert the screen on a per monitor basis. After inverting you can use the setup option in BW to get what you want. I have two monitors and use the older version to just invert one monitor for BW and other programs that work better inverted.

Make sure you have Tools:Scaling options set to "BibleWorks Scales Itself". Also there is a Windows setting that may be causing a problem. Google "windows text rendering settings". When you invert the text using Negative Screen windows won't be aware that the background color has changed snd it renders text depending on the background.

Is there a way to change the browse, analysis or search window backgrounds to dark mode (assuming the text turns white as it does on the tabs)?
I ask because my eyes have taken on a lot of floaters over the years (black and hazy spots) that make white backgrounds more difficult to read.
None of the Program Color options provide a means to change those backgrounds - unless I'm missing something.

How I have mine set up: I set it to specifically "BW Yellow", then in Windows 10 (which 11 will have also), under Windows' internal "Color filters" in settings (you don't need any 3rd party applications but keep in mind it inverts everything), I set it to "Greyscale inverted". Greyscale is important if you're like me and cannot stand Cleartype, but need it to be enabled for font antialiasing (I don't really have anything nice to say about Microsoft these days, so I won't say anything ).
