Activating BibleWorks 8, 9 or 10

As of June 15, 2018 BibleWorks ceased operation as a provider of Bible software tools. The old BibleWorks web site, activation server and forum are gone. This new forum is intended to provide a way for the thousands of people still using BibleWorks to communicate with one another. Click on "General BibleWorks Discussion" above to view messages.Or you can jump directly to two topics of general interest to everyone:

Welcome to the New BibleWorks Forum
How to Activate a New Installation of BibleWorks 8,9 or 10.

To post to this forum you must register your account. After you register and accept the TERMS OF USE, you will be sent an e-mail. You must respond to this e-mail and be activated by an administrator before you can post. This is necessary to limit the use of this forum for spam.

We get a LOT of forum registrations that we cannot activate because we got no response to the confirmation e-mail that was sent. A few are returned as undeliverable and we assume that they are spammers. We have no way of knowing if the other confirmation e-mails were even received. If you registered and never received the confirmation e-mail, you can send a message to forum@biblework.com. But check your spam folder first. Of course you are free to browse messages without registering. You just can't post to the forum or respond to messages.

I recently had to replace my computer. I need to place BW10 on my new computer. I have the thumb drive and tried the activation code on the quick start guide and it did not work. I have submitted an email as directed. My BW10 was an upgrade from BW8. Will this process work for installing on my new computer?

I appreciate any help you can give me, Mike. I was not able to use my disks, because the new Surface Pro won't consistently recognize an external DVD drive.

But I was able to copy the BW folder on my desktop PC onto a flash drive and transfer it to the Surface.
This PC was new last summer and you helped me set up BW on it.

In this folder find two .exe files.

The one named bw900.exe asks for my email address and serial number (activation number, I assume), but always tells me that one of them is wrong.
I know the email is right, and I repeatedly checked the serial number and it is correct. Stymied.

The one named 9.0.12.860-bw900lg.exe says I'm missing PATCHW32.dll, zlib1.dll, Unzip32.dll, and SSCE55532.dll. I don't know what to do about that.

Thanks for your patience with me.

Frederika,
Simply copying the BW folder from one PC to another will not work. The setup program must be used. I have used an external CD drive on the Surface Pro. Alternatively you could copy the CD files to a thumb drive.

Thank you Mike for the files you sent me. So very much appreciated. I was able to activate BibleWorks, v.10 and all of my purchases. I am in the process of moving from Windows to Linux Mint. In the process I discovered I would lose BibleWorks - not acceptable. I installed Oracle VirtualBox and created a Windows 11 Pro VM, within which I installed BibleWorks. Everything works just fine. I get to dump Windows and keep BibleWorks, all the while on my Linux Mint PC. You made this possible. Again, 'thank you'.

Thank you, Mike! It is working now.
I could have done it more quickly if I knew more about computers. So great to see the familiar BW icon in my taskbar.
God bless you!

I sent a request for reactivation on a new computer on March 11th. My old computers battery is going out. However, I have not received an email. It seems everything is correct. How can we go forward.

Thanks

A response was sent on 3/11. Check your spam folder. If it is not there you can resubmit the request.

On march 11 I sent a request for reactivation but have not yet received a reply. I assume I have formatted the request incorrectly but after checking it everything seems ok. What should I do to go forward.

I did receive an email on March 11 confirming my registration but I have not received anything concerning reactivation. I have checked my spam. Should I resubmit a request for the code.

Thanks
