Colorizing Preterit verb forms in the Hebrew
Colorizing Preterit verb forms in the Hebrew
Preterit verbs indicate continuation of the narrative. Colorizing them and their verse is an excellent way to visually demonstrate to non-Hebrew students where the narrative is continued. I have seen that done in Logos but it's a laborious process done manually. I understand there is a way to do this globally in BibleWorks. Is there anybody out there who has done this or knows how?

If I'm not mistaken, it would be under:
View > Colors ... > Morphology Colors
And then you need to specify something like @vW (for whatever appropriate Hebrew is being used), and choose the desired colours, etc.

I've attached an example of what you can do. I've had to put a .jpg suffix on the file to be allowed to upload it. If you download the file and remove the suffix, you can copy the .mcl file into the BibleWorks init folder and load it via Tools > Options > Morphology Colors making sure that you also select Enable Morphology Color Tagging. You could also edit it from there to your own liking.
Hope this helps,
John
PS It seems my attachment won't attach so here's the contents of my HebrewVerbTAM.mcl file. To make a copy, create a plain text file, name it with a .mcl suffix, copy the following text into it, save it in the BibleWorks init folder and load it as described above.
