Notes in onedrive

I'm working with Win 11 and BW 10. I have the following problem: I put my Notes files in onedrive so that a friend (Volker) can read them. These notes are correctly assigned to the verse, e.g. Psa 89_11.bww. But when Volker opens these notes on his laptop, the name of the file changes to 89_11-LAPTOP-VOLKER.bww.
The result: My Notes can no longer be seen in BW!
Can I prevent this?

The toolbar in the editor has an option to change the location of the notes folder. Did you change that? Back up your notes if you mess with this. You should do that routinely anyway.

Also, BW cannot handle an internet address as a location for the notes. It has to be a drive on your computer. So he cannot access your notes by referencing them on the internet. You would need to synch your local onedrive and his local onedrive. So basically he would have to use the same onedrive account. Or he could just copy your notes to his bw notes folder.
