Samaksinbu, it would be interesting to compare the before and after bw1000.ini files to see if there was a setting causing the problem, i.e. if you kept the old one.

Re: Activating BibleWorks 8, 9 or 10
Frederika,
Simply copying the BW folder from one PC to another will not work. The setup program must be used. I have used an external CD drive on the Surface Pro. Alternatively you could copy the CD files to a thumb drive.

Re: Notes in onedrive
Also, BW cannot handle an internet address as a location for the notes. It has to be a drive on your computer. So he cannot access your notes by referencing them on the internet. You would need to synch your local onedrive and his local onedrive. So basically he would have to use the same onedrive ...

Re: Notes in onedrive
The toolbar in the editor has an option to change the location of the notes folder. Did you change that? Back up your notes if you mess with this. You should do that routinely anyway.

Re: BW10 Dark Mode
There is currently no way in BW to do a true dark mode. Do a google search on "negative screen" or go to https://github.com/mlaily/NegativeScreen. This is a little free utility that will allow what you are looking for. There is an older version that allows you to invert the screen on a per monitor ...

Re: Activating BibleWorks 8, 9 or 10
Not quite. When you install it will ask for serial numbers. Let the process continue from that point and install BibleWorks. The install program will finish. Then run BW and it will give activation options. That is when you exit BW and follow the e-mailed activation instructions.

ChrisSpark,
The automatic option change likely originated with Microsoft. The editor is a Microsoft control. But there are 3rd party keyboard managers like Key Manager that may allow you to override default key functions.

Exit BibleWorks and follow the procedure above to reactivate BibleWorks. You will not receive a "time limited" message again.

Re: Hitting a wall with reinstallation of BW10
Steven,
You are making this more complicated than it is. All you are doing is replacing the executable. And if that is done you just resume using BibleWorks. You start it by clicking on the BW shortcut. You should be running bw1000.exe (the new one moved to the BW folder) not setup.exe.
Hope this ...
