An Alternative Procedure to Install BibleWorks
The following procedure will guide you in the process of copying the contents of the BibleWorks Program Discs 1-5 to a folder that you create on your hard drive and then using the files that have been copied to your hard drive to successfully install BibleWorks.
1. Create a temporary folder on your computer's hard drive.
I. Open My Computer (also known as the Windows Explorer) and click on the Folders button.

II. The My Computer window will change in the following manner that provides two panes to work with. In the left-hand pane, click on the icon for the C drive.

III. On the menu click on FILE | NEW | FOLDER

- A "New Folder" will be created. Rename the new folder by typing BWTEMP (for your own easy recognition) where the highlighted New Folder title appears.

2. Insert the BibleWorks Program Disc #1 into the CD-ROM / DVD-ROM.
- When the Install / Reconfigure screen appears choose Cancel.

3. Copy the Program Disc 1 files to the BWTEMP folder.
I. Copy the contents of the Program Disc.
The following capital letters identify portions of the screenshot below:
- A. Click on the icon for the CD drive on the left pane so that the drive is highlighted
- B. Its contents will display in the right pane.
- C. Click Edit on the menu.
- D. Click Select All (the contents of the right pane will be highlighted as shown below).
- E. Click Copy.

II. Paste the contents of the Program Disc that you just copied into the BWTEMP folder.
- Return to the left pane of the window and click on the C drive so that the title "Local Disk (C:)" is highlighted.

- A. Click on the folder icon next to BWTEMP
- B. Click on Edit and choose Paste to copy the files from the Program Disc to the folder named BWTEMP.

III. This portion of the procedure has initiated the process of copy the contents of a Program Disc to the older that you named BWTEMP. You should now see a window like this that indicates the files are being copied:

4. Repeat the process that is indicated in step 3 for Program Discs 2, 3, 4, and 5.
- Please be sure to copy the contents of each disk into the one folder BWTEMP.
- Since some filenames are the same on each disc, you will be prompted that some filenames already exist, and asked whether you wish to overwrite the existing file. Click YES or YES TO ALL each time you receive this prompt.
IMPORTANT!!! Do not copy the Modules Disc into this temporary folder. It also has a setup.exe file, and will overwrite the setup file for the BibleWorks installation.
5. Install BibleWorks from the folder BWTEMP.
- When you have finished copying all of the discs into the folder BWTEMP then click on the BWTEMP folder icon as circled below.
- Find and double click the file named setup.exe to begin the BibleWorks installation.

6. The BibleWorks installation will begin.
- Navigate through the installation process by using the BibleWorks Installation Program as pictured below.

- Note: If you choose a custom installation, make sure you do not uncheck any of the items that are already checked for you in the following screen entitled Base Installation Components. One can add more items from the list, but those already there must not be removed.
