Thread: NET Acts 8:1

    Question NET Acts 8:1

Why is this verse in the NET so much shorter than in other translations (NIV given as an example)?

NIV Acts 8:1 And Saul was there, giving approval to his death. On that day a great persecution broke out against the church at Jerusalem, and all except the apostles were scattered throughout Judea and Samaria.

NET Acts 8:1 And Saul agreed completely with killing him.

I don't see any notes for any translations explaining it...

    Unhappy Acts 8:1 [NET]

[QUOTE=Dogfish Jones]Why is this verse in the NET so much shorter than in other translations?

They have a formatting problem, probably caused by an intervening heading that falls between the first clause of 8:1 and the rest of the verse. This needs to be fixed.
