Borrowing Verb Search
I'm a noob. As you know, in Greek, a sentence can have no verb, but will instead borrow the verb from the preceding sentence (e.g., "submit" in Eph. 5:21 & 22). I am trying to compile a list of examples of verses that do this (in addition to Eph. 5:21 & 22). For the life of me, I cannot figure out how to put together a search for this. Any help?
This does not do what you ask, but it is a simple-minded way to find some possible cases. (It does find Eph 5:22.)
To find all NT verses that do not have a verb:
Set search version to a morpholgical version (like BNM).
On the command line enter this search: .!*@v*
My search returned 185 verses.
Note: if you run it from the command line it takes a few seconds, and includes verses that are omitted from BNM; if you go to GSE (after keying the search on the command line, Tools button under the command line, click on Graphical Search Engine) it runs faster, and does not include the omitted verse numbers.
