Thread: BibleWorks won't start

    Default BibleWorks won't start

I recently added some usermade databases to BibleWorks 8 and now my BibleWorks will display the message that says:
Could not restore default book name file (c:\program files (x86)\bibleworks8\init\books.bna).

    And it will not start

Do you have any idea how to fix this?

    Default

    OPTION A
    books.bna.zip
I've attached my books.bna file which should be stable. Make a copy of your old one, then download this one and try to start BW.

    If that doesn't work...

    OPTION B
Hold down the SHIFT key as you try to start BW. You will then be asked to run BW, and say ok.
You will then be able to choose from a number of options for troubleshooting and starting.
    Ones I would try:
Under Option 1, delete the BW900.ini file
    OR
Under Option 3 you can restore a previous version.

Default Ok, fixed it by using "Repair"

Thanks so much for the suggestions. I fixed it by using the repair feature on the installation disks.
