Thread: Odes information

    Question Odes information

I did a search looking for Kyrie Eleison in Greek, as I was trying to show that this part of the Mass is in Greek, and stumbled on Odes 14, which sounds like bits of Luke and bits of hymns like the Te Deum? [Forgive this ignorant Baptist, please!]

Can anyone give me more information on the Odes in BGT, please?
Is this the Odes of Solomon?

Yes, that's what it is. If you want to find out more about the Odes of Solomon, check it out in ISBE, which is included among the dictionary tools of the most recent version of BW.

    Thumbs up Odes of Solomon

    Thanks Dale.
I reckon the last ode is later than the 1st century, but!
