Marcion's Version of Galatians: This zipped folder contains both the text and the Data Definition files for Marcion's Version of Galatians. It contains both the Greek database and the Morphological database for Bibleworks.

    (Copyright 2004 Hermann Detering)
I reworked Detering's files so they would compile. when I downloaded them for my own use the files were corrupt. He deserves every bit of credit for them!

Targum Neofiti: This zipped folder contains both the text and Data Definition files for the Aramaic text of Targum Neofiti, for use with Bibleworks. (This file and all other Targum files on this site are based on the texts provided by the Comprehensive Aramaic Lexicon, edited in December 2003 by John Ronning and encoded for Hebrew display by Jim Darlack March 2004.)

Targum Pseudo-Jonathan: This zipped folder contains both the text and Data Definition files for the Aramaic text of Targum Pseudo-Jonathan, for use with Bibleworks.

    PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING!!

See CAL's encoding key for a list of how CAL marks variants. I have changed their encoding to work with BW as follows:

    "-" omitted–it indicated Personal Names

    "=" omitted–it indicated Geographical Names

    "|" omitted–it indicated a word break

    "[ ]" braces retained–indicates broken text

"{{ }}" double braces retained–indicates text deleted in manuscript

"{ }" single braces retained–indicates text deleted by editor

    "/ /" replaced with "!!! !!!", indicating textual variants

    "\ " replaced with " !!", marking the beginning of a multi-word variant

"^ ^" replaced with "• •" or "raised dots" indicating interlinear text.

"# #" replaced with "[[ ]]" indicating the source of a variant. Variant 1 indicated with an aleph, variant 2 with a beth, and so on (i.e., [[aleph]], [[beth]],…).

    5. APD is Lightfoot's English translation of the Apostolic Fathers, compiled by Jim Darlack (Summer 2003), based on University of Pennsylvania's CCAT text.

Superscriptions set off from verse 1 of each work by "*** ***"

    Lightfoot’s brackets "[ ]" replaced by "< >" indicating questionable wording.

I am sorry, I inadvertently violated geocities policy by linking these files by way of another program. I will change the links now. Take a look in a few minutes.

I have fixed the missing links! My home page is now the destination. You will find a list of the databases there with links to the zipped files.

Exclamation Mounce's Vocabulary for BibleWorks 6

    Hi, All,

I have compiled the vocabulary from Bill Mounce's Basics of Biblical Greek, 2nd Edition into a BW6 .vrt file which may be imported into the BW Vocabulary Flashcard module.

Notes: I used BW6's gntvocab.vrt as the base file. All definitions were edited to match Mounce's. If Mounce included a word not included in gntvocab.vrt, it was added. Vocabulary occurrence statistics were not changed to match Mounce's if they differed from BW6's.

Click here to download: Mounce BBG2 Vocabulary
You will need to save it in your BibleWorks 6/init/ directory. To import the file, open the Flashcard module, choose File | Import, make sure you are looking in the /init/ directory, and choose the file BBG2 Vocabulary.vrt

I hope this is a help to Greek teachers/students using BBG2. Feel free to distribute this file to your students.

    Default Other Modules

I have a number of modules available on my website.
These include other versions of modules.
Apostolic Fathers (and Morphology) provided by Richard Stauch and Ricardo Roman
Book of Mormon provided by Taylor Francis
    Wesley’s Commentary
    Quran M.H. Shakir translation
Brenton’s Septuagint provided by Paul Esposito

There is also a form that will provide a properly formatted booklist for any or all of the above modules.

    Default Book of Mormon

I haven't looked at them, but for those who are posting Book of Mormon files, you have to go back to the 1940 text for it to be public domain and distributable. The 1981 text is still copyrighted, and they tend to be prickly about such things.
