    Default Meaning Of Eden

    I heard a preacher today say that the meaning of "Eden" was "light" and therefore that when God placed Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden he really placed them into the Garden of Light.

    Now as neat as that may be sermonologically, does anybody have any idea where he got that? Is there any validity to it?

    Might be a misunderstanding of the meaning "delight" for !d,[e .

    I confess I got it on TV from a televangelist. Wasn't sure if I was watching a religious channel or the comedy channel half the time.
