    Yet another attempt to update the NIV, to be released 2011; 1984 NIV/2005 TNIV to be discontinued:

    Wow, great article, Ingo! I especially liked the sidebar, in which Wayne Grudem argues for the superiority of a literal translation over one favoring dynamic equivalence.

    Poets have a way of putting things, don't they?

    I remember a similar saying years ago that had particular reference to sporting results, where "wins" were compared to "ties." It was said that a "tie" or "tie game" was like "kissing your sister."
