Thread: Nbv

    Default Nbv

The standard Bibleworks program (if you could call the program 'standard ) does not contain the Dutch NBV translation, which is the latest translation of the bible in Dutch.

I have found a NBV compatible txt file on the internet, and i placed it on my personal webserver at
    http://www.xs4all.nl/~cavynl/bibleworks/nbv.txt

It should be possible to put this txt file in Bibleworks with the special database compiler option, but I cannot find how this exactly should be done...

Each time I try to compile, the module says: empty verses...
    and nothing happens.

Can anybody please download my nbv.txt file and help me out in describing exactly what i should do in Bibleworks 7 to get the file to work?

    Kind regards,

    Rene van der Velde

    Default Ready!

    Dear Pasquale,

With your instructions, everything worked out well! Thank you very much.

Since the translation that i have now in my Bibleworks is the most recent translation in our language, i am very happy to have this one as addition.

    Kind regards!

Thanks to you Rene and Pasquale, I too succeeded in inserting the NBV into BW. For me it is a nice Christmas present. I'm very grateful to you for this.

Hi, as I am new to this forum (and to Bibleworks 7.0) I am curious to know where I can find the nbv text. Did anyone succeed in making this nbv translation work in Bibleworks? If so, that would be really great!!! I hope anybody would like to give me some instructions so I can work with this translation as well! Many thanks in advance!

    Hello Rene,

I tried to download the file for two reasons:
    1) I will use the file for my own purposes
    2) be of help to you and others.

But, I am sorry to say, the link seems no longer available.
The other link to the coffee machine (http://koffiezetter.googlevrienden.nl/?loc=1:25) is also not available.

    Can you help?

    Thanks, Christ
