    Default Passing Hebrew Lemma to Logos?

    Anyone ever figure out how to make passing Hebrew lemmas work? I've got the Theological Lexicon of the OT now, and would like to link to it...

    Default Hebrew to Logos

    Yeah, I asked that very question quite a while ago and never got a response. I'll watch this thread to see if anyone else did figure it out.

    Has anyone tried it with the Beta of BW 8? Any programming changes there?

    What is it that causes problems? Is it the font mapping?

    I'm not sure. It just doesn't work, and I can't see under the hood, so to speak and can offer no diagnosis.

    Sorry nothing new as far as I know. I don't think anything here has changed, and I don't know much of anything about how the passing of information between programs works, so I would say if it didn't work before, I don't think any changes have been made to it that would make it work now.

    I'm pretty sure it's a matter of the Hebrew font. BW can pass through the Greek, so one would think there is a way...

    Default BW Hebrew Output via External Link

    I'm no scripting programmer. I used FORTRAN over 15 years ago. I had BW external links pass Hebrew to a websight that wouldn't know what to do with them. But I could extract the text passed on the web browser. I think the same output was generated for both Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2. Here's what I got:

    Hebrew "Lemma" Output from Gen 1:2 fist word
    Y:MMDUX:EEPS)H:CR)SEM:ECOHOOYW:WWPA:E:ETTH

    Hebrew "Form" Output from Gen 1:2 first word:
    <dummy>

    The first may be a Hebrew string of some sort. The second appears to be empty. BW may be sending something different than we expect to Libronix.

    Can any one else check it out before we distract the BW programmers from the finishing touches on BW8?

    ---------------------------------
    In case what I came up with is way off base, here how I got it. I sent the strings to the hyperdictionary and then picked off the text from the browser address line:
    // External Link #27
    //
    [Hebrew Form to hyperdictionary test]
    Operation = Open
    Directory = NULL
    File = http://www.hyperdictionary.com/search.aspx?define=<dummy>
    Parameters = NULL
    MenuLocation = Browse Window Hebrew
    TextType = Hebrew Text
    MapToVersion = NULL
    Lookup = Form
    MenuText = Hebrew Form to hyperdictionary
    Enabled = 1
    //
    ----There's probably a neater way to send it to a message box or text file via a script.
