Not very difficult (maybe an hour?) if you didn't want to salvage any of the footnotes. If you wanted to salvage footnotes, a little bit harder.
In the HTML, every occurrence of "<span class="dc2">" marks a new chapter, and verses are marked simply with <sup>##</sup>. If you remove the footnote references which are marked "<sup><a href="" I think it would be pretty straight forward. A few find-replace moves, but not too bad.
