MS has increasingly become more and more annoying. They have forced upon the computing world an increasingly intrusive OS, (with untold government embeddings -- yes, George Orwell has finally arrived), and this in turn has caused significant innumerable problems in a multitude of implementations.

As a result, not only is there a growing and fairly good-sized grass-roots user movement towards other operating systems, most notably MAC, but I am certain that many businesses, some of them large, are likewise considering an entire OS paradigm move.

I hope it happens, for Vista is nothing but an intrusive, cruel joke, and MS needs to learn its lesson or lose its base, and the sooner the better.

    Default German Versions Failing

The problem is deeper than we thought. There are a number of languages for which Microsoft changed the sort order of word lists. BibleWorks depends on this sort order to look up words in its indexed Bible Versions. We are working on a fix which will cause problem versions to be rebuilt and words list resorted when you start up BibleWorks (a one time event). This affects a number of versions, but most of them are German. I should have the new executable some time next week.

We apologize to our German customers. Who would have guessed that Microsoft would change the sort order of a mature language like German? It has been the same in Windows for 15 years!

    God bless,
    Mike

    Default Bibleworks for Linux?

Maybe Bibleworks should look at a port to Linux seeing how no one really has a market on that OS for this type of program? This way those who want to move from MS can use a native program for that OS.
