    Default Detroit Workshops, Sept 22

Two training workshops will take place September 22 at the Ecumenical Theological Seminary which are open to all BibleWorks users in their area.

Please pass this information on to anyone who might be interested in either of these workshops. We have contact information for only a fraction of our users so we're dependent on word of mouth to let people know of these opportunities.

    Location:
    Ecumenical Theological Seminary
    The Lounge
    2930 Woodward Ave.
    Detroit, MI 48201

    Schedule:
    Friday, September 22, 2006
    9:00 to 12:00 noon -- Essentials Workshop
    1:00 to 4:00 p.m. -- Intermediate Workshop
Click here for help deciding which workshop to attend.

    Cost:
    $25 per workshop

    Format:
The Essentials workshop will be designed to accommodate users of any version of BibleWorks but the instructor will do all teaching in both workshops from BibleWorks 7. Most of the material in the Essentials Workshop will apply to all other versions of BibleWorks, however, the Intermediate Workshop will spend a considerable amount of time discussing tools unique to BibleWorks 7. You are not required to own BibleWorks 7 to attend the Intermediate Workshop but we recommend users of earlier versions attend only the Essentials Workshop.
Click here for a brief description of what each workshop will cover.
Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop with BibleWorks installed. Each workshop will include several short hands-on exercises to give you an opportunity to practice what you learn. A laptop, however, is not required to attend either workshop.

    Instructors:
Rodney Caruthers will teach the Essentials Workshop. Rod earned a Master of Divinity degree from Ashland Theological Seminary. He currently serves as the Director of the Diploma of Practical Ministry program and as Recruitment Counselor at Ashland Theological Seminary. Rod also serves as a Vice President of the Michigan Center for Early Christian Studies associated with the University of Michigan, adjunct faculty at Spring Arbor University, and as an instructor at Ecumenical Theological Seminary.

Mark Cannon will teach the Intermediate Workshop. Mark is a technical support specialist for BibleWorks. He holds a Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary and is a Ph.D. candidate with the London School of Theology, Middlesex, UK. He is an ordained minister in the United Methodist Church and has pastored two churches in northeast Ohio. Mark takes pleasure in serving the Lord by equipping others to explore the truth of God’s Word. He lives in Chesapeake, Virginia with his wife Robin and their daughters Jesse and Rachel.

Information regarding other BibleWorks training opportunities this year will be posted at http://www.bibleworks.com/training as workshops are scheduled.
