    Default Font display

    What am I doing wrong to get a font display like this in my user notes:

    σαλευθήσεται verb indicative future passive 3rd person singular from σαλεύω

    [Thayer] σαλεύω
    σαλεύω; 1 aorist ἐσάλευσα; p

    Hmm I copied this and it displays correctly here but in my user notes there are several little boxes where letters should be.

    Default unicode

    I'm going to take a guess that the font you are using is not fully Unicode compliant. The boxes are usually associated with "empty" spots on the particular font's Unicode chart.

    Solution: Switch to a different Unicode font by trying two things.
    1) select the text and click the Greek (or Hebrew) button with a little yellow circle above it. That will switch your font to the Unicode font referenced in the second solution.

    2) Click the "wrench" icon in the toolbar above notes and change your Unicode font to something with a more robust implementation.

    I think Thomas is correct. In addition to the fonts he mentioned you might find Palatino Linotype a good choice for Greek as well.

    Default Cardo font

    Personally, I have all my students use the Cardo font from
    http://www.scholarsfonts.net/
    Has both Greek and Hebrew and all the special symbols you will need.
