    Default 7.0 BDB Lexicon Update

    Update: BDB 2006 Revision (7.013w)
    Date: 04/07/06 at 20:49:12

This patch contains the newly revised BDB Lexicon. It contains thousands of corrections, plus all Syriac, Arabic and Ethiopic words are now present in transliterated form. This update requires executable version 7.0.013w or later, which was just posted.

This is a NOT a preview version. No access code is needed to download this patch.

If you have problems with this update please post a reply to this message on the BibleWorks Forum in the Program and Database Updates section. If you post a response elsewhere we may not see it. Please do not use this section to post messages about anything but this update.

    Thanks!

    Default BDB Update

This update has appeared several times when checking for updates. Do I need to keep installing it each time it appears? Is it a different file each time?

You don't necessarily have to download an update each day (if there is one) esp if you're not using BDB a lot, but if you do use it a lot, go for it. BW has been doing corrections of BDB with a fine-toothed comb, so newer updates have been on textual corrections as they have been reported.

We are continuing to make corrections on a daily basis. The changes you see are for the most part minor corrections. I'd suggest just checking back and downloading it every week or two. It's looking better and better. Usually we stockpile corrections on databases, and make mass corrections every few months. But for a while we'll be implementing corrections immediately to the BDB until the new version is shaken out a bit.
