I know, I know, not the place to engage in matters theological. (So please forgive me.)
But it is interesting to think about how Paul might have answered this question.... ;)
You bring up...
Mark Eddy--kudos to you for being willing to make the variants available. That'd be a huge helps to folks.
Agreed about NETS--that should be in here.
And while Jim Darlack's words are not...
Thanks, Mark. Yes, I realized after that first post that I was conflating the two... I was curious about the morphologies in the manuscripts specifically. Thanks for your reply.
To clarify, I meant this more specifically (from the site): "Morphological tagging (not complete for all manuscripts but updates will be provided free of charge to BibleWorks 9 users as they become ...
Basic question--how far along is the CNTTS/manuscripts project? I remember the BW9 release saying it was in progress, with updates to follow along the way.
The market has spoken. I'll do $99 for the sale of BDAG for anyone interested in owning it in BibleWorks.
Great! Thanks.
Whenever I go to Resources | Background | Rodkinson and try to navigate, it causes BW to crash... and it's pretty much unnavigable. I saw this module mentioned in the known issues... is there perhaps...
Ah, thank you, Michael. The MT-LXX parallel is probably what I use most for BibleWorks--I still find it the best laid-out version of that module among the various Bible softwares.
I'm running...
P.S. I would think that's almost surely a Mac issue, as BibleWorks in Windows doesn't do that for me.
Hi, Michael,
Thanks very much for your reply. That sounds great. I'm glad to hear that.
I do have the latest bibleworks-9r3-20130103.dmg and had the latest .exe before the one released two days...
Curious if anyone can comment on the above, especially any forum admins/BW staff?
Since using a Mac much more this past year, I've used BibleWorks less, although I still have a used PC laptop that I bought a year ago just for BibleWorks.
I was thrilled to see the Public Preview...
To anyone still interested in this thread, I just wrote
How to Read and Understand the Göttingen Septuagint: A Short Primer, part 2 (Apparatus)
with a part 3 still to follow. BibleWorks is...
Willing to drop down to $119. I don't want to spam the forum with sales, so I'll go to ebay after this if no bites (or bytes, as the case may be).
Very cool!
I am looking to sell my BDAG in BibleWorks. It sells for $150 here, and I'm offering it for $129. If you purchase it from me, it works exactly the same as if you bought it new--BibleWorks transfers...
These are great suggestions. Thank you all!
Two unrelated questions I'm wondering about, that I'm pretty sure I can explore via BibleWorks 9, but not totally sure how.
1. I'm curious to see how LXX Isaiah writes about female persons. Is...
Curious if anyone knows whether BibleWorks has made any progress here, i.e., if we can expect a with-punctuation LXX any time soon?
I think you raise a fine point here (i.e., in starting this thread), but there are definitely some who believe that academic "objectivity" is a myth and that there is no such thing. :)
I, for...
The items are no longer available.
Willing to go down to $75 for the set, for anyone interested....
